The Manhattan, KS Children's Photography Experience

Hey Mama! I am glad you are here. If you are like me, you want to document the small moments in your child's life. Everyone deserves to have their portraits taken each year, especially as a child with how fast they grow and change each year. That's where I come in. Each session is individually tailored to your child's likes and personality, and we let it shine throughout our time together.

I’d love to hear all about your child and what makes them smile. What are their favorite things? What do they want to be when they grow up? What are your goals for this session?

2. Planning Your session

Once you are on my calendar, now comes the fun part, planning your session! First we will start off with talking about location (what speaks to you the most? Do you prefer a studio type session or something outdoors)? I do have a location guide that will be sent out along with other guides to help you along the way.

Part of planning is choosing attire, a theme (if you want, think GLITTER, Ponies, sports, etc).

If you have any burning questions that come to your mind in the middle of the night (when you get up to pee or can't sleep because you are uncomfortable), feel free to email me and I will respond within 24 hours. I am here to help you along the way the entire time.

3. ask me Anything

Hurray! Your session day has finally arrived. This will be a slow process to make sure we capture the best moments, the silly and raw moments, and then of course the sweet moments.

Your job is to relax and let me pose your son or daughter throughout the session.

4. Your Portrait Session

Time for the piece you've been waiting on. Your photographs will be lightly edited and delivered to you within a week for you to look through and select the ones you want edited. Then a week after your selection, you will receive your final edits.

Each year is so fleeting as your child grows. Showcase your child's personality, as it grows each year with a specialized portrait session. Incorporate their favorite colors, sports, music, etc into these sessions.

I’m highly satisfied with my experience. I paid a very reasonable price for a great end result. Ashley was so patient and understanding and made the experience a good one for me and my family. My youngest son was completely against participating in the photo shoot and my older two were skeptical, but they were all comfortable and engaged by the end and I’m amazed at the images she was able to capture. Turn around time was awesome and I’m just in love with these photos!!!! Highly recommend!!!

I can't say enough how elated I am with my pictures!!!!! We did personality photos of my (almost 4 year old) daughter. The excitement of looking through the LARGE amount of photos that we got to pick from was like a kid on Christmas morning! Ashley was so patient and understanding while working with my daughter and captured her perfectly. I could not be any happier! We will be using her in the future for certain.

FAQs as a Hattiesburg Children's Photographer

Q: Are sessions customized?

A: Yes! Each session is tailored around your child. Through the use of my questionnaire, I select the best props, location (if outdoors), backdrop or background color, that fit your child's style/personality. The goal of these sessions is to display your child as they are in the milestone of life that they are currently in.

Q: Am I able to print my own photographs from the session?

A: Each collection comes with its own set number of digital images. You can certainly print from your choice of printers, but colors aren't guaranteed unless you print from my shop. Don't know how to do that or don't know what you want? Let's pop on a call and talk about it, and I can assist you in placing your order.

Q: When should I book My session?

A: As soon as you hit your second trimester is the best time to inquire about your session and get on my calendar. Your session should ideally take place between 30-34 weeks when your belly is bumping and you have gained some energy back.
