The 18 Acres
Carolina Sapphires and Leyland Cypress trees at The 18 Acres, in Richton, MS.
This veteran owned tree farm is ran by Hope and Calvin Cooley. I reached out to Hope last year when my son was about to turn 1 in hopes to do his birthday portraits out there. Hope graciously allowed me to come to her farm and talk further about her vision for the farm as well as local business things. From there, a friendship was formed.

Hope and Calvinās farm is family operated and they have big things happening. Not only do their children participate in farm chores as well as assisting customers on their days off from school, they are excelling academically too! This is their first season open, and boy has it been successful already.
Strawberry Shortcake and Po, the Mini Cows
This tree farm is not just any tree farm. They also had a pumpkin patch this year, as well as sunflower fields. They hosted their first event called Party in the Pasture back in October. That event was super successful for the first day that the farm was officially open to the public. They hosted a haunted maze in their sorghum grass (so much prettier than corn fields) the week of Halloween and clientele were super impressed by it.
Rustic Farm House (privately owned)
This Christmas Tree Farm also has a barnyard full of animals for children to pet, as well as bubbles, rocks, cornhole, swings and other things to do.
