G Family - Fresh 48 session

As a Hattiesburg, MS lifestyle newborn photographer, these sessions are so special to me as a mom. I did not get to have a session like this when my son was born, so I think its special to be able to capture the first few moments with your newborn.

Fresh 48 sessions take place in the hospital (or in the home if you give birth at home), and are typically done within the first 48 hours of giving birth.

I like to give you a chance to recover from your birth, so typically I will come around 24-48 hours after you have told me that your baby has arrived.

Including family members is part of the process, so if you have grandma/grandpa, siblings, etc that you want present, be sure to inform them that I will be there. There are some posed portraits done, but this is more of a lifestyle quick session, so I try not to do too much actual posing.

Hospital lighting is NOT the best, so therefore, I like to photograph during the brightest part of the day, and use the natural light that comes in through the windows. If the natural light isn’t enough (hello rainy days), I will use a flash to bounce the light off of the ceiling to get those perfect moments.
